Make the Perfect Hot Drink in Designer Style

Make the Perfect Hot Drink in Designer Style

Most of us feel like taking a break sometimes. Whether at work or at home, a pause for rest often involves a cup of tea or coffee.

Here at Homecolours, we love to see new designs that make the simple act of preparing and serving a hot drink even more comfortable and stylish.

The above electric kettle from Stelton brings out a striking minimalistic look for preparing water for making drinks with. Cordless for convenience and ease of use, the kettle is made using form lacquered stainless steel. The easy-to-hold handle is made from pretty carved Beechwood. It is easy to keep the kettle clean thanks to the removable limescale filter.

Extra safety is provided by the dry boil switch which turns off the kettle automatically when the water is boiled. Available in various gradients of black and grey, the kettle will look elegant wherever it is positioned in the kitchen.

A smooth method of preparing coffee is offered with a French press. The above Georg Jensen Bernadotte French Coffee Press works on the classic principle of pressing down on the coffee and water mix to filter the coffee correctly. This model from the Swedish design house Georg Jensen offers an impressive look and style inspired by the best of Scandinavian style.

Incorporating attractive grooves influenced by art-deco and strongly produced with highly polished stainless steel, the press is a lovely way to make a cup of joe. Elegant, sophisticated and simple to use, the press is a welcome addition to a home’s kitchen equipment.

An attractively made and styled mug is important to the whole experience of enjoying a hot drink. The newly designed Pantone mug produced by Room Copenhagen delivers a beautiful mug made from high-quality fine china. Available in a wide variety of colours taken from Pantone extensive colour catalogue, the mug is ideal for a welcome cuppa. Stylish and cool, the mug also makes a lovely gift.

A morning cup of coffee or tea could be beautifully presented in the Early Bird Mug by Orla Kiely. The gorgeously made Duck Egg background colour of the mug is highlighted by the iconic Orla Kiely multi-stem pattern joined by a bird shape.

The strongly made bone china mug has a capacity of 300ml and is suitable for use in both the microwave and dishwashers. Another lovely way to enjoy a favourite hot drink, the mug is a pairing of style and craft.
